Camp Week

Rory spent the last week at Camp Northfield in Massachusetts.  While he was there, Lily and I had "Decorating Camp."

Up until last winter, both kids had shared a bedroom, which had last been painted when we were expecting Rory about 10 years ago.  Just after Christmas this year, we finished remodeling the house to provide a separate room for Rory.  Lily inherited the "old" room, complete with nail holes, stickers on the walls, and dark blue curtains with multi-colored stars and moons.  Not too pretty, anymore, and not too girly.

So while Rory was at camp, Lily and I went shopping for paint, curtains, linens, a new lamp, and a new rug.  Then, we spent the rest of the week transforming her room into a pretty pink and purple princess room!

So, after several very hot, long, and grueling days, here is what we came up with:
The Play Rug

Great place for a tea party!

These pictures were the inspiration for the color scheme

Pretty Princess!

In the closet?
I think it turned out pretty well!  And yes, we had a tea party the very first day.  Decorating Camp was a success!
